Among the surface treatments of various galvanized wires, hot-dip galvanized iron wire is a very good one. It is in the liquid state of zinc, after quite complicated physical and chemical effects, not only a thicker layer of pure zinc is plated on the galvanized wire, but also a zinc-iron alloy layer is formed. This plating method has the corrosion resistance of electro-galvanizing, but also has a zinc-iron alloy layer. Moreover, it also has strong corrosion resistance. Therefore, this plating method is especially suitable for strong corrosive environments such as various strong acids and alkali mist.
The galvanized layer of hot-dip galvanized iron wire is formed by zinc in a high-temperature liquid state in three steps:
The surface of the hot-dip galvanized iron wire base is dissolved by the zinc solution to form a zinc-iron alloy phase layer;
The zinc ions in the hot-dip galvanized iron wire alloy layer further diffuse to the substrate to form a zinc-iron mutual-dissolution layer;
The surface of the hot-dip galvanized iron wire alloy layer is covered with a zinc layer.
Hot-dip galvanized iron wire has a thicker dense layer of pure zinc covering the steel surface. Hot-dip galvanized iron wire can prevent the steel substrate from contacting any corrosive solution and protect the steel substrate from corrosion. In the general atmosphere, a thin and dense layer of zinc oxide is formed on the surface of the zinc layer, which is difficult to dissolve in water, so it plays a certain role in protecting the steel matrix. If zinc oxide and other components in the atmosphere form insoluble zinc salts, the anti-corrosion effect is more ideal.
Hot-dip galvanized iron wire has an iron-zinc alloy layer, which is densely combined and exhibits unique corrosion resistance in marine salt spray atmosphere and industrial atmosphere;
Due to the strong combination of hot-dip galvanized iron wire, and zinc-iron dissolving in each other, thus, strong wear resistance is achieved!
