Containment Use for a Barbed Wire Fence

A barbed wire fence commonly has a number of uses in agriculture but it can also be used for other reasons. One of the important reasons for having a barbed wire fence is containment.Barbed fences can be used in this way in both human and non-human capacities. 

Prisons usually run barbed wire fencing, which is known as razor wire, along the walls. If prisoners try to escape, they are at the risk of injury due to the sharp points on the wire fencing. 

Barbed wire is also used to contain animals on the farm. The barbed wire fence can prevent livestock from escaping and prevent farmers from losing a lot of money.

Some barbed wire fences can also let electricity run through them which makes this kind of fence twice as effective.
